Now that the holidays are over we can finally look forward to 2013 and leave that pesky 2012 behind us. With the new year comes new challenges – the threat of a data breach still exists and is ever increasing. In order to prevent data breaches you have to be ever creative in your preventive measures. ID Experts has just released 11 Data Security Tips for Healthcare Organizations in 2013 and one in particular hit me as interesting.
6. Attack your leadership team with phishing and other social engineering campaigns. Nothing raises awareness like catching people and correcting them on the spot—and it’s a lot more interesting than the annual 30-minute online security training.

Now doesn’t that sound like fun. I think it would be a great idea to put on a grey hat and really test your boss, although I would be careful as to what content you phish him/her with. That could be an interesting HR disaster.
